Bob has been in the valuation industry since 1993 and, prior to that, worked in commercial banking. He has extensive experience in business valuation, which includes the valuation of business enterprises, equity and debt securities, as well as intangible assets and intellectual property. He also has transactional advisory experience, as well as management, consulting and business development experience.
Bob has earned multiple designations, including Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Prior to joining ORBA, Bob was a principal in the Valuation and Transaction Advisory Group with the Reznick Group in Chicago and managing director and head of the Midwest region with CBIZ Valuation Group, also in Chicago.

Bob conducts valuations and analyses for many types of companies for the purposes of strategic planning, financial and tax planning and reporting, sale or re-purchase transactions, corporate recapitalizations, buy-sell agreements, and dispute resolution.
Bob has a deep understanding of the ever-changing reporting and tax guidelines that make valuations and financial transactions more challenging today than ever before. His expertise in these areas spans a variety of industries and clients, and results in valuation conclusions and reports that incorporate state-of-the-art methodologies and standards, and which will stand up to any review or scrutiny by third parties.

Bob is just as dedicated in his personal life as he is in providing clients with great service. From playing guitar in a college band, to spending time teaching his kids how to ski, Bob puts his heart into everything he does. He enjoys spending time with his family, whether it is on the slopes at the closest ski resort, on the couch cheering for his favorite Chicago teams, or traveling to destinations as far as Kenya.
