What Board Members Need to Know About Financial Statements
Join ORBA's Not-For-Profit Group on Tuesday, July 30, at the University of Chicago's, Gleacher Center, to talk about understanding financial statements. This program will focus on practical tools for ensuring a better understanding of your not-for-profit organization's financial statements and best practices board members can use to evaluate the financial strength of their organization, including:
- How a regular review of financial information will help identify red flags that indicate an organization may be veering off track;
- How you can use this anaysis to get the organization back on track; and
- How using ratios and other metrics can be good tools for an organization to measure itself over time, as well as against peer organizations.
This seminar will include hands-on, practical information and an opportunity to share your knowledge with your peers. Chief operating officers, chief financial officers, accountants, bookkeepers, outside accountants and anyone who is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a not-for-proft organization's year-end financial audit will benefit from attending this program.
Seats are limited. Please be sure to REGISTER by end of business day Sunday, July 28.
