About the AICPA and its Accounting and Review Services Committee

The Accounting and Review Services Committee (ARSC) of the AICPA is a senior committee for compilations and reviews and is designated to issue pronouncements related to unaudited financial statements or other unaudited financial information of non-public entities. According to their website, the committee develops and communicates comprehensive performance and reporting standards and practice guidance to enable accountants of non-issuers to provide high quality, objective compilation and review services in the best interest of the profession and the public. In addition, the ARSC publishes Statements on Standards and issues other publications to assist practitioners in understanding and applying accounting standards.

The AICPA is the national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. The AICPA provides the most current, relevant information, resources and advocacy for industry professionals.
