CHICAGO — ORBA, one of Chicago’s largest public accounting firms, is pleased to announce that Marianna Cervantes, Phillip Deel, Aaliyah Gardner, Laura Rangel and Valerie Rausch have joined the firm’s Audit Group as Audit Associates.
Marianna Cervantes has expertise in reviewing our clients pooled financial statements to ensure accurate reporting. Additionally, she is skilled in maintaining client expense reports and preparing monthly analysis reports to monitor business performance. She also develops accounts receivable aging reports to assess the reliability of clients’ customers. Marianna received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Laura Rangel previously served as a tax intern at the firm before joining the Audit team. She currently works with clients across various industries, including health care and food service. Her expertise spans financial, managerial and cost accounting, along with managing accounts receivables and performing cash reconciliations for clients. Laura received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Governors State University.
Valerie Rausch began her career at ORBA as a summer tax and audit intern. As an Audit Associate, she is skilled in analyzing financial data, preparing individual and business income tax returns and performing various audit procedures. Valerie received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Loyola Chicago.
Aaliyah Gardner assists in planning and executing financial audits, while applying current auditing standards and regulations, to clients’ financial statements. She also continuously attends technical training to stay up to date with the latest auditing practices. Aaliyah received her Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting from Illinois State University.
Phillip Deel joins the firm after serving as a tax intern for ORBA two years. He is skilled in analyzing financial data, performing various audit procedures, and preparing individual and business income tax returns. Phil received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – Auditing/Forensic Accountancy from Purdue Global University.
