CHICAGO — Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Ltd. (ORBA), one of Chicago’s largest accounting firms, is proud to announce that Robert G. Swenson, CPA, has been named a Director of the firm as of July 1.

“Rob has exhibited excellence in his practice and has shown outstanding ability to serve ORBA’s clients,” said Managing Director Mark Thomson. “We are pleased to honor Rob’s accomplishments and are confident that he will continue to contribute to ORBA’s success.”

Rob joined ORBA in 1996, and over the course of his career, he has gained experience serving individuals, partnerships and privately-held corporations. He consults business owners and executives with tax planning and compliance matters. He is a recent graduate of ORBA’s Leadership Development Group, a program designed to mentor senior staff members, and is the first of the group to be named a Director.

“I am honored to be named a Director. I joined ORBA after graduating from the University of Michigan, and have spent my entire career with the firm,” said Rob. “I’m excited to begin this new chapter of leadership and look forward to contributing to ORBA’s future growth and success.”

Mr. Swenson is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society, the BKR International Taxation Committee and the BKR International Future Leaders Practice group. He is also the head of ORBA’s Tax Training Committee and the State and Local Tax Committee. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and his M.S. in Taxation from DePaul University.
