CHICAGO — ORBA, one of Chicago’s largest public accounting firms, is pleased to welcome five professionals to the firm’s Audit, Marketing, Tax and Transaction Advisory Groups.
Michelle Ambriz rejoins the firm’s Audit Group as an Audit Senior, where she specializes in conducting audits, reviews and compilations for privately-held companies and not-for-profit organizations across a range of industries. In addition to her attestation work, she also provides tax services to individuals, corporations and partnerships, offering a well-rounded perspective on financial reporting and compliance. Michelle previously was an Audit and Tax Associate at ORBA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Illinois at Chicago.
Manual “Manny” Miranda joins the firm’s Tax Group as a Tax Associate, where he prepares income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, S corporations, and estates and trusts. Manny also conducts tax research, supports audit preparation and risk assessment and manages various compliance tasks, including preparing 1099s and 1096s. Additionally, he is responsible for handling accounts receivable, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the firm’s tax operations. Manny previously gained tax experience as a Tax Intern with ORBA. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Governor’s University.
Julie O’Connor joins the firm’s Marketing Department as a Marketing and Business Development Manager, bringing two decades of experience in professional services marketing, business development and consulting. She has held previous marketing leadership roles at several prominent firms in the Chicago area. Julie has significant experience in digital marketing, content development, thought leadership and client engagement strategies. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago.
Brian Robertson joins the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group as a Senior Manager, bringing over a decade of experience in advisory services. He specializes in strategic financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and turnarounds and restructuring (T&R) for closely held, middle-market, distressed and high-growth startup companies. He received his Master’s of Business Administration degree in Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration from DePaul University.
