CHICAGO — Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Ltd.’s Not-For-Profit Group will be hosting a seminar, Understanding Your Financial Statements, on July 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. CST, at the Gleacher Center in Chicago.
This program will focus on practical tools for ensuring a better understanding of your not-for-profit organization’s financial statements and best practices board members can use to evaluate the financial strength of their organization, including:
- How a regular review of financial information will help identify red flags that indicate an organization may be veering off track;
- How you can use this analysis to get the organization back on track; and
- How using ratios and other metrics can be good tools for an organization to measure itself over time, as well as against peer organizations.
This seminar will include hands-on, practical information and an opportunity to share your knowledge with your peers. Chief operating officers, chief financial officers, accountants, bookkeepers, outside accountants and anyone who is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a not-for-profit organization’s year-end financial audit will benefit from attending this program.
This seminar will be held at the University of Chicago, Gleacher Center, Room 300, 450 North Cityfront Plaza Drive, Chicago, IL 60611. There is no charge to attend. Seats are limited. Please REGISTER on or before July 28. Participants are eligible to receive 1.0 hour of CPE credit.
