Prior to his election as Managing Director, Joe was one of the firm’s tax specialists on a variety of corporate, partnership and individual tax issues.

Illinois Restaurant Association’s Update on “Happy Hour” Law
The Illinois Restaurant Association issued a press release earlier this week regarding an update to part of Illinois’ Liquor Control Act, also known as the “Happy Hour” law.

The new tax law passed by Congress and signed by the President at the end of December provided for, amongst other nuggets, a payroll tax cut. Illinois Estimated Tax Payment Rules for 2020
As we previously reported, Illinois extended the filing and payment deadline for 2019 income tax returns to July 15, 2020. However, Illinois did not extend the due date for taxpayers who need to remit estimated tax payments for calendar year 2020.
