D’Ann Meisenheimer has 25 years of experience in accounting services and has been Manager of Accounting Services at ORBA since 2016. The first ten years were in Cincinnati working for a small firm that specializes in medical practices. The past eight years have been spent as a vital contributing member of ORBA. She has continued with her medical experience, but has branched out to a variety of other service industries including law, scrap metal and architecture. The services that she provides depend on the needs of each client. They often range from bookkeeping to tax returns.

D’Ann Meisenheimer has 25 years of experience in accounting services and has been Manager of Accounting Services at ORBA since 2016. Customer service is extremely important to D’Ann, and she is always responsive to her clients’ needs. She values each client and takes the time to learn their business. She is often the main contact for her clients and will either help solve the problem or direct them to one of ORBA’s specialized staff who can.
Outside of the Office
D’Ann enjoys volunteering her time and craft skills to the Royal Family Kids camps. When not serving her community, she enjoys listening to and playing music. She attends as many concerts and musicals as possible. She often relaxes by sitting at the piano herself. When the weather is nice, you can also find her tending to her garden.

1099-MISC vs 1099-NEC and New E-Filing Requirement
In 2021, the IRS released a new form: Form 1099-NEC. This form is still in use for 2023, along with Form 1099-MISC. However, there seems to be some ongoing confusion over which form to use. This Client Alert will provide you with some general guidelines and resources to help you determine whether you should file Form 1099-NEC or Form 1099-MISC. It will also address the new e-filing requirement that has been implemented for the upcoming filing season.
Reporting Requirements for Recipients of Form 1099-K
The IRS is once again delaying the requirement for a third party settlement organization (“TPSO”) to issue a Form 1099-K to anyone who received more than $600 from the TPSO in third party payment network transactions.
