CHICAGO — ORBA, one of Chicago’s largest public accounting firms, is pleased to announce that Luca Pescarini, Tony Salazar, Sasha Brenecki and Jeremy Elliott have joined the firm’s Tax Group, while Connor Lucas has joined the Cloud CFO Services Group.
Luca Pescarini joins the firm’s Tax Group as a Transaction Advisory Manager. He has worked for an array of clients, including closely held businesses, in the manufacturing, distribution, financial services, technology and construction sectors. Luca has focused his last several years on executing deals in the small- and middle-markets for a variety of buy-side and sell-side transactions. Luca received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated International Studies and Classics from Knox College and his Master of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Tony Salazar joins the firm’s Tax Group as a Senior Tax Manager. He focuses his expertise on domestic tax compliance and consulting for closely held groups, high-net worth individuals, S-corporations and partnerships. He also has extensive experience with C corporations (including consolidations), buy/sell transactions, IRS audits and notice responses, and state and local tax issues. Tony serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including legal and other professional services, medical, real estate development, construction management, cannabis grow/retail, manufacturing and distribution, auto dealerships and air charter services. Tony received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from the University of Nevada and his Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Sasha Brenecki joins the firm’s Tax Group as an Associate. Sasha assists clients in preparation of federal and state tax returns and conducting client tax research for individuals, estates and trusts, and S corporations. She also assists with the preparation of financial statements and performs complex tax research projects for clients. Sasha has significant experience in cost segregation and fixed asset studies on improved, newly-constructed and acquired type properties ranging in value between $500,000 to more than $100 million. Sasha earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and her Master of Science in Accountancy from DePaul University.
Jeremy Elliott joins the firm’s Tax Group as an Associate. Jeremy performs tax research and prepares income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, S corporations, and estates and trusts. Jeremy earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from The Strobel Honors Accounting Program in Accountancy from DePaul University.
Connor Lucas joins the firm’s Cloud CFO Services Group as a Senior Accountant. Connor works with clients to manage cash flow, control costs, improve financial reporting and drive their financial success. He also has experience working with clients on their general accounting needs, such as bookkeeping, along with conducting financial data analysis and performing assurance work. Connor received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from The College of St. Scholastica.
