Kelly has been a vital part of the ORBA team since joining in 2011, after starting her career in public accounting in 2008. Prior to joining the Quality Control Department, Kelly performed audits, reviews and compilations across a number of industries with a specialization in not-for-profit organizations. In 2021, she transitioned into the role of Manager of Audit & Assurance Quality Control, showcasing her commitment to technical excellence. Fast forward to 2023, she has been appointed the Director of Audit & Assurance Quality Control. Kelly plays a critical role in providing technical consultations on accounting and professional standards, conducting pre-issuance report reviews and internal inspections, and conducts training for the firm’s Audit Group.
As a trusted technical advisor, Kelly is a life-long learner. She recognizes the value in proactively educating ORBA’s professional staff and clients. To supplement her professional knowledge, she attends numerous continuing education classes annually covering advanced technical accounting and auditing issues and enjoys reading professional publications to stay in the forefront of ongoing developments in the accounting industry.
Kevin Omahen has been a valued member of the ORBA team since 2012. With a comprehensive skillset spanning tax, assurance and consulting services, Kevin oversees a wide range of accounting services. He works with not-for-profit organizations, heath care providers, and manufacturers and distributors. He is an active member of the firm’s Not-For-Profit and Health Care Groups, showcasing his dedication to specialized sectors.
Kevin has the ability to work hands on with clients, consulting with them to solve accounting issues that go above and beyond the normal compliance required of an audit or tax preparation. He strives to build stronger relationships through frequent communications and often speaks at client board meetings, presenting financial statements and communications letters, as well as providing best practices for board members and finance teams.
