CHICAGO — ORBA, one of Chicago’s largest public accounting firms, is pleased to welcome five associates to its growing Audit Group.
Andy Bonnot began his career as an ORBA Tax Group intern, gaining experience completing individual and business tax returns and assisting Directors working with high-net-worth clients. As a current small business owner, Andy has extensive experience in financial planning, inventory management, packaging, shipping, bookkeeping and customer relations. Andy earned an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Aurora University.
Brad Garrett brings several years of audit experience to the firm and utilizes his skills to work with a variety of clients as a senior associate. His areas of specialty are in technology and manufacturing. Brad will use his skillset to supervise the work of audit staff, perform risk assessments, plan substantive audit procedures and prepare work papers. He also has experience in several industry sectors, including governmental and school districts. Brad earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration at Augustana College.
De’Marcus Hooker has significant experience working within the health care industry as a behavioral health assistant, supervisor and administrator. In these roles, he was tasked with monitoring health facility licensure and certification actions while keeping abreast of current healthcare laws and regulations pertinent to healthcare providers. Additionally, he has experience overseeing orientation and training programs and implementing agency programs. De’Marcus earned an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Jackson State University.
Daniel Mroz began his career as an intern in the firm’s Audit Group. He has developed strong project management skills and has extensive experience with tax preparation, budgeting, bank reconciliations, and both accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Lucas Garcia Bennett has experience with budgeting, inventory and resource allocation. He also has experience in talent recruitment, financial packages and resource allocation for a sports organization, as well as research and forecasting to increase employee efficiency. Lucas earned an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Roosevelt University.
